Hey peepz, I want to get an exhaust for my 318ti, I live in The Netherlands (small country in Europe). I would like a deep fat sound, and if it's possible I don't want to give over €300 (=$380), for the exhaust (incl. Shipping). Has anybody got some suggestions... THX in advance... __________________ BMW arctic silver 318ti, 5-spd OEM-armrest - Smoked Corners, Smoked sidemarkers - M3 Contour Rims - K&N Inlay filter - Koni 1130 Sports kit suspension - Cross-drilled Sport Brakesdiscs, Ferodo DS Brake Pads, Sparco Steel-flex Brake lines - Back Strutbar - M-tech Steering wheel | | | 09-29-2006, 03:51 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | Check this thread for sound clips and recommendations. Since you're in Europe you should be able to get the Supersprint for a reasonable price, maybe even cheaper if you get it in Germany. I got mine there at Stahlgruber ( www.stahlgruber.de) and it was somewhere around $250. That was without the VAT and the exchange rate was much better at the time, so I don't know how much it would be now. http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10872 | | | 09-29-2006, 05:15 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | I got a Bosi when I was in Germany, 500 USD when I got it shipped back..should have just gotten a Supersprint at the time, but oh well. for the money I consider the Stromung to be the best on the market. light, loud and clean looking. It's what I use. | | | 09-30-2006, 12:44 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | Based on the clips on www.understeer.com, I'll probably switch to the Stromung if/when I have to replace my SS. Besides the sound, the SS is just too damned expensive these days. | | | 09-30-2006, 02:46 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Roermond, Netherlands Posts: 41 | Well, There is a chance that I can get a Supersprint for a cheap price but I don't know how cheap it'll be... I also saw on ebay some sort of sport exhaust from a company named IMASAF. Don't know if it is something but it looks kinda nice... And I was thinking maybe I can get a freeflow exhaust and make it fit on my compact, I looked at my stock exhaust and it'll be kinda hard to let it fit nice ... Hmz,don't know what to get... __________________ BMW arctic silver 318ti, 5-spd OEM-armrest - Smoked Corners, Smoked sidemarkers - M3 Contour Rims - K&N Inlay filter - Koni 1130 Sports kit suspension - Cross-drilled Sport Brakesdiscs, Ferodo DS Brake Pads, Sparco Steel-flex Brake lines - Back Strutbar - M-tech Steering wheel | | | 09-30-2006, 04:28 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Lincoln Park Capitol Hill, Washington DC Posts: 741 | If you were stateside, I would recommend getting The Racing Dynamics (my new Job).....$475.00 plus shipping.
