Default M44 intake cam snap question

So it turns out that I snapped an intake cam due to lack of oiling. My question is can I replace the cam without removing the timing chain and tensioner in order to replace it? The timing is still correct and I know I was coasting into a parking lot when the car stalled so it has a better chance of not bending valves. I looked inside with a scope and saw no tweaked valves or half moon indentations on the pistons.

Probably no bent valves. But the timing does have to be reset but they usually tear up the journal where they break, and if its a m44 then the journals are built into the head. So most likely you will need a new head
