Default front bumper

Anyone know why my m tech front bumper seems to be too wide for my car there's about 3/4 inch over on each side.

Is it mounted correctly on the upper side supports? There's a slot on each side of the bumper that slides right onto those. That could definitely push the bumper out if it wasn't lined up.
