Default 1998 318ti M sport, under engine parts

Beneath the car, the frontal portion of the engine is presently exposed. The pork chop shaped supports attached to the lower side of the wheelwell splash guard (part # 51 71 1 977 117/8) have molded-in clips that face the car centerline. All of this suggests there's a plastic pan missing. Any E36 M car I've ever worked on has a protective pan beneath the frontal portion of the engine underside. Can anyone comment? If a pan is missing, a part # would be really cool.
