Hi, In my Uk 95 316ti I had an electric auto dimming rearview mirror. My Newer 98 USA model 318ti doesn't. Anyone know what it would take to retro fit one to my new car? Anyone done it with the offical part or some other part? Also anyone ever installed the rear parking sensors aftermarket? viable? Or no? I guess not, but hey you can ask!! cheers guys! | | | 12-20-2005, 06:23 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Malden, MA Posts: 672 | I have a auto dimming rear view, but it's from an ///M coupe. You know, the oval kind. Anyway, it's only two wires that come from the mirror. One is power, the other is ground. Just find a 12volt power source that is always on when the car is running. You should use a voltmeter, that would help. I forget which one I hooked mine up to. __________________ "Power Rules, Smooth is Fast, Late Brake if you HAVE TO, But Always get the Inside Line.......and Fear No One." | | | 12-20-2005, 11:26 PM | #3 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | Quote: Originally Posted by Juni I have a auto dimming rear view, but it's from an ///M coupe.
