Default What kind of oil i can put in my M42 gearbox manual?
I would like to change the gairbox oil of my 318ti M42.
What oil espec i can use?

it calls for Dexron II ATF so anything that includes that specification should be good, I've used Redline D4 ATF in mine

Default Is it for automatic or manual gearbox?
I think that the dextron II and III is for automatic transmision, isn't it?

BMW spec'd ATF in the manual transmissions until '97 or '98. There is a sticker on the transmission that tells you what should go in it.
