Default 1995 BMW 318ti

I bought a 318ti around September. The car's been good to me. Recently had to pull over on the highway after the engine cut out. The mechanic I brought it to is now telling me I need a new engine and the cost is 3,700$ USD. So I'm trying to figure what options I have to save this beaut.

If anyone is willing to make an offer a perfectly fine aesthetic bimmer, please PM me. I'm located in Georgia, 45 minutes from Atlanta. I'd like to sell the car as a whole to save me some time and headache, if not I'm willing to go through the process of parting it out.

I'm new to forums and what not. Just turned 20 yesterday, and am trying to keep my head above water and get back on my feet.

Thanks a ton guys.

used motor form any 1995 or 1994 318* will work and with any luck youll buy it for under a couple hundred. Then when you can afford it take yours to a good rebuilder and a couple grand later voila!
