Default Custom Euro 3.25, Euro LSD 168 diff

I am having a diff built for the ti, M52B28 swap, M3 ZF 5 speed. Porsche organic disks, custom steels....all new bearings, etc.... I went with a bit taller ratio as will have 25.7" street tires, helps on the fuel usage, more comfortable RPM, etc, and will run 22.5" track tires so the 3.25 works out pretty well. ----------------- I have an regular E36 case, 4.10, OS Giken newly built diff and considered using that LSD but it is just more than I really need and it would of required a 188mm diff housing, I am doing all I can to keep the weight low on this car so I am selling that diff. ---------------- Have a great day Rick

168mm euro LSD, 3.25 ratio, with E36 dual rear mount cover is here, Ireland bushings going in, according to Ireland and the diff builder this will handle the Schrick cammed S52 just fine and saves considerable weight. This is not a drift diff but fine for street and HPDE

I will build my own mounts for the added point on the cover, beef up the stock one and build my own subframe reinforcements.

It is important to save all the weight I can on this car as I have a limit as to what I can carry in the back of our 43' toyhauler, size and weight are critical but that is cool as it led me to the ti which I am going to love

So how do you like the OS Giken? From what I hear they are very nice.

I never installed the OSG diff in the M3 race car I was building, at $80k and counting I decided I did not need that much time and money into an HPDE car I was going to drive on tracks all over North America. I sold the chassis and most of the parts, so far. I still have the forged LS1 and 3-way Ohlins I had custom made for sale.

I know enough racers than have used the OSG and all loved it, it is simply smoother and faster than the others.

I am running a disk diff in the ti, setup for my needs, it will be fine as not out to win a race series, just HPDE and maybe some TT later.

80K hope you have sponsors at that amount. We have 5k in our lemon and that is on the high side. Deeper pockets than I have. We just put a 3.46 into our rat from a E30 in the medium case for a 318is. was pia but car hooks well now and we can utilize the rpms.

We had a 4.45 in the thing and were on the revlimiter almost instantly. Was cruddy because three of tracks we run at are long.

Deeper pockets? Certainly empty pockets

I could of finished it, used it, been on a tight budget, etc but decided by selling it off, selling off other things I can live without, paying things off, reducing expenses, I could still build a very sweet ti to do all I need and have $2k more a month to do it with.

It was my retirement present to myself but I just realized I had no need for such a fast car on unfamiliar tracks. My buddy and diff builder races a ti in Lemons and loves it, said it is more fun than any racing he has ever done including far faster cars. He likes the ti because of how it handles, tail comes out but super easy to manage, more fun than a regular E36 on track for that reason. Your car would be similar of course.

I bought a nice clean well modified street/solo M3, was going to do a few things, have $15k into it, got carried away and two years later it finally dawned on me how silly I was being

Now I have a really nice ti CA edition that will be more than fast enough, quite quick actually, daily driver reliable, fast lap times, fun in the sun with the doggies in the rear seat, hauling the groceries, site seeing, etc....
