Default Rear vents not working

Hello,
I have problem with my air conditioner on e36 Compact 95 m42. The rear vents (under the front seats) are not working. No air is blowing from them. When I turn the dial for the vents under the dash I can hear the air comming out under and above the dashboard. All the vents are properly attached.

My question is, are there any separate flaps (actuators) for the front and rear vents?

How can I control the temperature on the air conditioner, without turning it off? When I turn the dial half the way on the blue zone, is it going to work with higher temperature?

Thanks
