I am not to sure what kind they are but I do know they are directional tires. I personally think that Kumho are fine. I drive my Ti around alot and all of the sets of tires that I have gone through lasted a pretty long time. And when I took off my old set of rims and Kumho tires the treads looked fine and I had been driving on those for 35,000 - to 40,000 miles and I had them for 9 months. The traction is great on the new ones I got and i havent slipped in a turn yet. i dont know how they would run in the snow because it rarely snows where I live. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 01-29-2007, 09:10 PM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Great White North! Posts: 701 | I've ordered several sets of both 712 & SPT Kumho tires for my clients and the concensous is that the SPT is a big improvement on the 712. The 712 got really loud after roughly 10k and were harder to balance. We also noticed marbleling of the compound on some "street use only" tires. So far nothing negative to report on the SPT. Great tire for the price.
