I just think this is an eye sore and would bother me looking at it all the time. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 12-29-2006, 02:57 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Yuck! __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-29-2006, 03:55 AM | #4 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Ignoring whether I like the way it looks (I don't have to look at it so that's irrelevant) here are a few reasons I don't like this particular item: 1) It's a light color. I think that would make it more difficult for your eyes to see the gauges during the day because your eyes would adjust to the brighter object (the cover). 2) Note that it simply sticks onto the clear plastic cover. That will make it more difficult to see your gauges from anywhere other than the drivers seat. Granted, the vast majority of the time that you need to see the gauges, you ARE in the drivers seat, but that would bug me. If it went onto the actual instrument cluster face (like the CF one on my car) it might be OK. 3) My guess is that the visual prominance of the cover would make it a little more difficult for your eyes to focus on the gauges. 4) Since it's a stick-on piece, I'm willing to bet that if you ever take it off, or it just comes off on its own, it's going to leave adhesive residue or other marks on the clear plastic.
