Default Official ti 1/4 Mile Thread

This was inspired by the 0-60 thread. Please give what year/engine you have, what mods you have done, where you are, and what the track and weather conditions were. Also try to limit this to times that you have run and leave the commentary to a minimum. This will make it easy for people to search and find out what times people are running with X, Y, and Z mods. Also try to keep the speculation (what will my car run once I do XY and Z) out.

Here's my best run

1996 Cali ti M44 5 spd.
Fogged Airbox
Low 70s outside
Tyler, TX (near Dallas)

60' - Don't know since someone hit the sensor earlier in the day
1/8 - 10.120
1/8 mph - 69.1
1/4 - 15.762
1/4 mph - 86.72

That was a GREAT run GDB, around 16.5 is a good run for a stock ti. R&T's test of a '96 sport (M44) was 16.3 @ 83.6

DASC running 10 psi max.

I'm confused as to how a n/a ti can beat a sc by over a second. . . Maurolin - which of your mods gave you the most bang for your buck?

I would say the Maurolin's S52 conversion was the biggest benefactor. S52=96-99 M3 motor.

of the Mods I have, my favorites are AA satage software with euro HFM, and my TMS flywheel.
There is a huge "war" here in my area with SRT4's and Everyone else. I give it to them.. thos cars with $800 run 13.2 secs. they are fast! so I will start a new thread for your opinion on my next mod as i am at the point where anything to add to the car will cost me lots of $$$ I've done all the $1000 and less mods.... now it is time for the scarry part. All I know... is that I don't want to be beat by a Neon! so... I have some work to do!.

You think getting beat by a Neon is bad, try getting beat by a VW Beetle!! My friend has a VW Beetle Turbo S and just got a Garrett chip installed. DAMN!! That car is quick. We were pretty close to even before the chip, but now I don't stand a chance.

Nitrous Express anyone???

Yeah I got smoked by a beetle turbo, all my friends laughed at me until I told them it wasn't stock.

It had aftermarket exhaust, looked lowered, and the license plate said:

EURO PWR

pretty nice lookin. Tinted windows too.

Well if my tires will ever come in then I hope to break my record this friday night at the track. I'm hoping to hit a 15.5 with nothing more than wider tires. If I can pull that then I'll be happy, then it's time to start the modding.
