Hi All,

I bought a 1998 318ti a few months ago and love it. I have had two E36 cars before... a 1999 328is and then a 1998 M3 Sedan. Loved them both. I think a 2.8 or 3.2 swap is in the future, but I'm being patient for now. I always discounted the 4-cylinder believing that a straight 6 was truly BMW, but I have grown pretty fond of the 1.9. Still feels very BMW. Looking forward to interacting with this group.

Welcome! The 4 cylinder is definitely true BMW...my 2002 has a 4cyl which was their main engine back then :P.

You'll find the TI to be more peppy and economical compared with the bigger 6 cylinder models....faster it is not. But the ownership group is a little more mature, as you'll see here!
