Getting mine + replacing CSB (you should anyways just because its out and stupid not to) would be much cheaper than a new unit Ill give it to you for $50 + gas to meet you half way (I am in Charlotte now) __________________ -Jeff | | | 01-24-2010, 01:51 AM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Merritt Island, FL Posts: 351 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti I don't see where the U-joint is a separate part. I'm saying that the universal joint that bolts to the differential can't cost more than like $30 bucks to make. BMW for some reason doesn't offer this part separately so your are stuck buying a $800.00 drive shaft. That sucks dude! __________________ Alpine Weiß 1995 318ti M50tu mostly stock, chip'd 413, AFE Intake. e36 M3 front brakes, e30 M3 rear calipers. e28 3.25 LSD + e30 axles. I realize I could use the rear half of a used drive shaft. I'm going with a rebuilt. It will come with a new flex disc, center bearing and balanced. If it was just a DD I wouldn't care, but it sees the track a few times a year and I don't want to take any chances. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 02-05-2010, 03:18 AM | #21 | Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Los Lunas, NM Posts: 52 | Maybe you can get in on the carbon fiber driveshaft group buy.
