The H&R sport springs claim 1.8" drop front and 1.4" in the back, but after installing i think the front went down at least 2" and about 1.5" in the back. A little lower and stiffer than I wanted, but you can check out my photo gallery. __________________ It's always a great day to be underwater and play with the fish.....preserve our oceans and reefs" Fariz 1997 318ti, Hellrot (Bright Red), Dinan Stage 2 Chip 16x7 OEM sport Wheels/X-Brace/Custom Strut Brace/Cold Air Intake/M-Tec Steering Wheel/Koni Adjustable FrontShocks/ Bilstein Sport Rear Shocks /H&R Sport Springs/Custom fabricated strut tower brace/Rear Strut brace, Stromung Exhaust Future Mods: E46 17" wheels or Kosei K-1 17x8.5s | | | 04-22-2006, 04:43 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | Quote: Originally Posted by 318ti_Portugal Hello... I think H&R claims an average 2.1-2.5 inch drop in the front and 1.3-1.7 inch drop in the rear. __________________ | | | 04-22-2006, 07:48 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Portugal - Lisboa Posts: 205 | Thanks for the pics guys! The Sport lowers less, at least that's whhat's according to their claims. __________________ It's always a great day to be underwater and play with the fish.....preserve our oceans and reefs" Fariz 1997 318ti, Hellrot (Bright Red), Dinan Stage 2 Chip 16x7 OEM sport Wheels/X-Brace/Custom Strut Brace/Cold Air Intake/M-Tec Steering Wheel/Koni Adjustable FrontShocks/ Bilstein Sport Rear Shocks /H&R Sport Springs/Custom fabricated strut tower brace/Rear Strut brace, Stromung Exhaust Future Mods: E46 17" wheels or Kosei K-1 17x8.5s | | | 04-22-2006, 09:23 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Portugal - Lisboa Posts: 205 | I'm going with an H&R cupkit, wich comes with springs and H&R struts/shocks to run with the springs. __________________ Portuguese 318ti MODS: Staggered M Kontours; Mtec Side Trim with M3 badges; Mtec Steering wheel with Airbag; M3 Modified Shift Lever; M3 Leather Shift Knob, Leather Centre Arm Rest; Euro Clear turn signals; M3 Electric and Heated Side Mirrors; Cat replaced by straight pipe; Mtec Rear Bumper; E36 M3 Front Brakes with EBC Drilled and Slotted Rotors and EBC Red Stuff Pads; Vader Seats. Ok that you can change the height of the car, but are you really going to take the time to do that operation depending on the type of road you are going to drive? __________________ Portuguese 318ti MODS: Staggered M Kontours; Mtec Side Trim with M3 badges; Mtec Steering wheel with Airbag; M3 Modified Shift Lever; M3 Leather Shift Knob, Leather Centre Arm Rest; Euro Clear turn signals; M3 Electric and Heated Side Mirrors; Cat replaced by straight pipe; Mtec Rear Bumper; E36 M3 Front Brakes with EBC Drilled and Slotted Rotors and EBC Red Stuff Pads; Vader Seats. You can corner weight, adjust handling charictaristics by raisling/lower front or rear, some coil-overs allow you to adjust rebound and compression. It gives you a great degree of flexibility. That way you can adjust the car to understeer, oversteer, or be as neutral as possible. Once you dial the car in how you want it there really isn't a need to change it. I waited quite awhile longer to purchase coil-overs, but I wouldn't have done it anyother way. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
