They are 225/50R/16 91v, Yokaham avid v4. Wheels have 5 lugs. Nothing fancy. Looks like alloy with 5 wide spokes As I am as "smart as a rock" when it comes to cars, please let me know if these will work. I am having a hell of a time posting a pic. Apparently my pic is too large to upload, even after I resize it. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! | | | 06-28-2006, 01:34 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | It's not so much the tire size but the offset and pattern of the wheels. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 06-28-2006, 01:34 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Asheville NC Posts: 669 | the tires are an ok size. To know if the wheels will fit, we'd need to know the offset and bolt pattern. The offset is the distance from center the flange that touches the hub is. The bolt pattern would be the number of holes x the distance between them. We need around a +40mm offset and 5x120 bolt pattern. | | | 06-28-2006, 01:52 PM | #4 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Post the picture in your gallery, you should be able to put it in there without resizing it. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 06-28-2006, 02:53 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: NorthEast Posts: 91 | "You are allowed a maximum of 1024000 bytes of diskspace. After many tries, I was finally able to upload 3 pic of the tires in question. Please take a look at them and let me know if you can tell if they will work. Thanks! | | | 06-29-2006, 03:12 PM | #7 | Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Toledo, OH Posts: 60 | Those wheels are pretty nice and the tires look like they are in great shape. If you know what car they were on before, that would be one good way to get the bolt pattern and offset nailed down. One other way to find out, if they are FREE is to take them and try them on. If they are not a fit, you can always get wheels that fit later and you would already have those good tires. The tires alone are proabably at least worth a couple of hundred. You could look for a place to swap wheels for some that fit too. You can't beat FREE!! It gives you so many options. | | | 06-29-2006, 03:25 PM | #8 | Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: NorthEast Posts: 91 | Thank you for replying.........Yes they are free, from my brother. They were initially on a VW Jetta. Unfortunately, they are in NY and the only way I would know if they would fit would be to drive up there, have them put on and see if it is a good fit. You are right, "free" is a great price. Regardless.......thank you all for your help. | | | 06-29-2006, 06:02 PM | #9 | Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Toledo, OH Posts: 60 | I doubt that they would fit if it came off a Jetta. The VW bolt pattern is too small. I googled it and it loks like it is 5x100mm, and once you know that the bolt pattern is wrong, the offset is a moot point. | | | 06-29-2006, 06:41 PM | #10 | Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: NorthEast Posts: 91 | Thanks a bunch. You probably saved me a 400 mile RT to NY. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
