I bought my '98 318ti on January 1, 1999 with 3283 miles on it and it's been my daily driver ever since. It's always been garaged and aside from the Z3 wheels, it's completely stock. It's been professionally serviced at the appropriate intervals with nothing but full synthetic at every oil change.
Every necessary repair has been performed in a timely manner by a terrific BMW and Mercedes specialist here in the Eugene area. I have every receipt.

I've lowered my asking price to $3500, which I think is very reasonable for such a desirable ti in excellent condition, even with 237,000 miles on it, because I know how well my mechanic and I have cared for it and how well it still runs and how great it still looks. The car is 100% rust-free and the California roof works perfectly. It's one of the main reasons I love this car so much and have kept it so long.

The only known issues are a nighttime illumination light out on the far right side of the instrument panel and another for the HVAC controls. The key can sometimes be difficult to turn in the door locks and the clock face has some extra pixels illuminated. There's a small spot of wear on the outside bolster on the driver's seat back, but it's not worn through. There are a couple of very small imperfections in the body, which is otherwise beautiful. The finish is outstanding. I would be happy to send pictures of these minor flaws to anyone who's seriously interested.
