Default Intake Manifold Porting

I am picking up a M44 manifold and throttle body off ebay. My plan was to get them ported, but after some limited research I am questioning the merits of this. I was wanting to get ya'll thoughts on porting the manifold and TB. And DO NOT SAY "Just get a DASC" I am well aware of the DASC and it's potential, but it's not in my plans at the moment. Just thought I'd get some of ya'll opinions of the manifold and TB idea. TIA.

As far as gains go if the intake manifold is one of the restrictive points on the intake side then you will see a noticible gain by having it ported an polished.

Have you looked at http://www.extrudehone.com These guys did my DASC manifold and elbow and man you can see your face in it. I have not had a chance to put it on yet so I don't know if it made a difference.

Well I guess I'll go ahead and look into pricing. If I get this done I'll try and do before and after dynos, and if the gain is anything worthwhile then I'll have my other manifold ported and put it up for sale.

Since your car is NA and not FI, I think it will make a difference, as your manifold is not already underpressure. Just think you will be reducing resistance therefore increasing the air speed inside the manifold. It could be like ram air !!!!
