Is is awesome. I love it. I have a problem that I used to have with my old 98 M3. The driveway that leads to the garage is on an incline. The garage is about 6 feet above the street so the driveway is pretty steep. I have to enter the driveway diagonally so it doesn't scratch the front lips. This is fine. No problem. However, when I go into the garage, about halfway in, the bottom of the car scratches the concrete, ... bad. It sounds so bad that I decided to keep it outside until I figure out a way to fix this. I was thinking of putting a small speed bump inside the garage that will help raise the car and clear the entrance. Or, just raise the back of the car with higher springs. Don't know. Does anybody else have this problem? Suggestions? I might call a contractor and get an opinion. I hate to have this puppy outside. I could get a car cover but there is no way I am going to change the oil or work on the car outside through the nice Texas summer. Your help is appreciated! Is anything hanging from the car? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 03-14-2004, 05:32 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: Austin,TX Posts: 18 | 2x10? Plus use something for a ramp to climb up onto the wood. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 03-15-2004, 12:41 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: cary, nc Posts: 2,259 | my friend had that problem...not with a ti but just all their cars in general. they built a speed bump and it worked out rather well. __________________ 1995 318ti Active Pioneer Speakers [] Aluminum Billet door locks [] ACS Pedals/Deadrest [] ACS Shift Knob / E-Brake Handle [] Clear Corners/Tails/Sides [] Sylvania Exterior Lighting [] Custom CAI [] Dinan Engine Chip [] Dinan Transmission Chip [] H&R Race Springs [] Tokico Illumina Shocks [] BMW X-Brace [] Relocated Lighter Mod [] Custom iPod Mod http://www.cardomain.com/id/robcarync | | | 03-15-2004, 05:47 AM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: Austin,TX Posts: 18 | Yes, .... I think a speed bump will do the job. I will have to get a contractor to give me an estimate and then, the hard part, get the approval from the Home Owner's Association. I will post pictures if this is what I end up doing.
