Hi guys, I'm having trouble getting my alternator off on my `97 TI. I took out the pulley attached to the left of it and the two long bolts in the back. Un-did the 10's on the black cap in the back but can't get that wiring off the rear of it or get the alternator off itself. Do I have to remove the tensioner pully below or what am I forgetting? Thanks for any tips. | | | 08-15-2006, 02:07 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | take a small pry-bar between the engine/alt and the alt will come loose. | | | 08-15-2006, 05:09 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: la jolla, ca Posts: 222 | Got it, thanks. | | | 08-15-2006, 05:28 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | np. took me a while on my first one, now with a impact gun, wrench and bar I can do one in 15min or less. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
