Default 1995 318ti 188k miles -- $1200

Hi All,

Time to sell my trusty little daily driver. It served me well for over a year, but we bought a wagon, so this one must go.

1995 318ti Boston green with beige leather interior

Price: $1200
Location: Boston, MA

- M42 ODB1 engine, 188,500 miles on it.
-5-speed manual transmission that shifts very well
- Active package: LSD (pretty hard to find), speed-sensitive wipers (kinda of a 2-speed system, they just slow down when you are stopped), cruise control, sunroof, premium 10-speaker sound system (remember though, 17 year paper speaker cones sound awesome :S)

The good:
- very dependable
- exterior not perfect, perfect for a parallel-parked city car
- Alpine CDE-103BT headunit

Maintenance in the last year:
- tune up: oil, air and fuel filter, spark plugs
- front sway bar link
- hood cable and latch
- cat-back exhaust (oem used, the old one was shot)
- all electrical systems work properly

The not so good
- passenger window clips broke, common E36 problem
- driver seat has seen better days
- headliner sagging pretty good, missing fabric on the sunroof panel
- other exhaust leak at the cat. nothing serious, gives it a nice racing tone I have a spare oem front exhaust section but never installed it as the downpipe studs/nuts are nasty looking
- rear shocks are dead
- ABS light is on: the 2 front sensors were bad. The 2 screws holding the old sensors snapped when I removed them. In the process of extracting them. I have 2 replacements sensors.
- bubbly rust on the rear wheel wells and paint is oxidized but the body is surprisingly clean

On to the pictures:

Thanks guys! I honestly wish I could keep it, but we now have 4 cars. I'm trying to convince my wife to keep it and turn it into a track car

I'm really wanting to get into a 318tis such as your car. I thought I would have to save more money, but your's looks awesome for the money! Would you say it's capable and ready to make a 1000 mile trip? Can you PM (or email) me your contact info as I'm a new member and can't PM yet.

Thanks!
Bryon

That's the spirit, Bryan, road trip! I bought my ti near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, then drove it back home to Texas. Had a ball!

For some weird reason, the pictures make the car look better. I wasn't trying to embelish it, but rather give the actual story.

Anyway guys, it sold locally. I told the new owner to join the forum and to advertise here first if he's looking to sell it.

Thanks again for your support! I already miss the car. It was fun, quirky and had a nice personality! I hope to get another one eventually but family comes first!
