Default OBDI to OBDII?

okay, i have a 95 ti. so that means OBDI
now im wanting to swap a m3 engine into my TI. If i were to get a OBDII engine can i convert it to OBDI? or am i going to be limited down only OBDI motors only?

Basically if you were in the US your choices would be OBDII upgrade or finding a 1995 M3 with OBD1... Not an easy search.

Smog laws would be the common driver...

It's quite simple...you can get a S52/M52 and convert back to OBDI or buy an S50/M50 and retain OBDI. If you search for awhile, you should be able to find a good condition S50.

Go check out the web page of the shop I work at. The OBD1 and 2 motors are exactly the same metal wise, just calling on different sensors and different plumbing.

Its everything you need.

There are other conversion parts as well. We do a whole lot of E30 conversion stuff so this is cake compared.
