Default Silicone wiper blades

Does anybody use these, and what do you think of them?

I've just swapped inserts, so I need a replacement set to keep in the trunk.

I have some Bosch Edge Excel's but I don't thnk they're silcone. They work well. This month's MotorTrend has an ad for the new Bosch "Icon" wiper blade. They look slick You might want to try those.?

I use Rain-X on my windows so rarely do I ever use my wipers. Come to think of it I can only remember turning them on four times since I have had my car! WOW!

I don't like Rain-x on my windshield cause when you do use the wipers the make a horrible rubbung soiund. When i don't have it on the wipers work fine.

Rain-x works, but not for salt nor mud.

If I can find just the insert for the Icons, I'll give it a shot.

Hey guys, I have been having problems with my wipers.
They just smear the water over the screen, also, the whole insert doesn't make contact with all the glass as it travels back and forth. The wiper inserts have been replaced.

It is almost like the wipers have made an 'imprint' on the glass since whenever there is water on there you can see where the wipers travel quite clearly.

I have opened the bonnet accidently while my wipers were up once, but it only hit one of my wipers and it didnt look i did any damage, and since both my wipers are having problems i don't know what is wrong.

Is it possible my windscreen is out of shape or 'worn'. Can the wipers be adjust lower so they push harder on the windscreen to stop the wipers missing bits.

And finally, i have a look at one of the inserts and its is not sitting on the track on one of the points. I can't work out how to get the damn thing off to align it completely, I'm a noob i know.

all help appreciated, since its been raining alot here recently this is begining to piss me off!

My wipers used to be perfect and i don't know why they have deterioted to complete crap

PIAA silicone blades, 21" aerofoil on the driver side, 20" regular silicone blade on the passenger side. They are chatter free and very smooth. I also have regular BOsch excels on my other 318ti, and I had issues with chattering till I really cleaned the windshield and put rainex on. Afterwards, also smooth as silk.

I too have the PIAA silicone blades. I think they're the best. Installed 2 years ago and haven't had any streaking or chatter. worth the money

lift the arm out, make a T with the wiper, push toward the windshield...should come loose from the U in the arm holding them.

The Bosch Icons work really well. I got a set for Christmas and they've been awesome so far.
