Default Spring Rates

Hey guys,

Searched through the forum, but didn't find this kind of info.

I'm running H&R Race, and would like to know their spring rates. Does anyone can help me?

Thank you in advance

Email the maufacturer?

I found this using google...

E36 Spring Rates Summary (Imperial) Front Rear
Rate Height Rate Height

Stock 105 0 335 0

OE Sport 200 +/- .5 380 +/- .5

H&R Sport 200 -1.5 380 -.75 to -1

Race - DTM Setup 345 -2 515 -1.25

H&R Coilover 340 -75 to -2 380 -.75 to -1

Autocross 500 -2 700 -2

And this
Quote:
I've talked to both Eibach and H&R. H&R will not give out spring rate information as they state that there is no standard for measuring spring rates and they don't want people comparing rates.

Eibach did give me numbers for both stock and their springs which I have at work and post them tomorrow. Based on Eibach's measurements, their springs are 10% stiffer in the front and 20% stiffer in the rear which I believe will reduce understeer to some degree.

that's some great info , thanks!

so h&r sport just lowers the car compared to oem sport, won't stiffen the ride?

and I emailed Hartge, but never got a reply. I'll try again later
