Default Buying replacement M-Tech parts in the uk?

Hi,

I've got a 1999 M-Sport, just over 75000 miles and the shocks and springs are feeling a bit tired. Just wondering if any UK forum users knew where I could get replacement M-Tech parts at a reasonable price. I really want to avoid going through the BMW parts department if possible, but I want to keep the car 100% genuine.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

depending on if budget is issue.

Otherwise you can look on www.bmwfans.info for the actual numbers

Again you can try to source parts from OEM suppliers (boge-sachs / febi-bilstein) for items

Springs would be a OE part if you wish to maintain the original spring rate, but a good Eibach spring set wouldnt be a bad decision.

If you are in dire straits and in need of some BMW numbers for the dampers and springs, PM me with the chassis details and ill find the part numbers for you

Thanks for the prompt reply Andrew, that's a very handy link! I should be able to suss out the correct part no's from that. I'll speak to my local BMW dealer to see just how extortionate their springs are (i'm not keen to lower it any, I stay in Aberdeen and the roads are like the surface of the moon up here..) and weigh that up against the price of an eibach kit.....

Cheers for the advice,

Dave

In the US if you buy shocks/struts from the BMW dealer they have a life time warranty. Kind of makes sense to buy OEM parts from the dealer for that reason if they offer the lifetime warranty on the specific part you need.

Do they have a BMW Car Club of Europe that gives you wholesale prices on parts?
