You know what i mean | WOW!! Im shocked. Gino ive got to school you right now. Lets put it this way, if the government gave you a choice to want to be in a draft, what you think the majority of the answer would be? When you turn 18 you MUST register in the selective service. Well you dont have to unless you want to go to jail. This is when the country will need to draft, and they get the selective service list and randomly choose ppl to draft. Citizens of the united states will be chosen to do jury service regardless at some point. You might not get picked, but you still have to show up. If you haven't registered for selective service, then the govt. wont help with financial aid (fafsa) and im not sure but i dont think youll be allowed to vote? When you register to vote, your also getting registered to the selective service. Im not sure, but i think you got until 24 to do so. For those who havent registered, you can do so here http://www.sss.gov/ | | | 12-27-2007, 03:05 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti That's not true. If you decide not to sign up anyway...your going to jail son. | | | 12-27-2007, 03:46 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | every guy has to enlist into the draft thing. once you're 18 1/2 at least. or else its a fine. and i dont think enlisting gets you out of it either. just say you're in school or something. that what i did. twice. If you get paid jury duty time from your work, just do it and get it over with. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit!
