In fact I talked to him last week and he says that after all this time his museum is exploding with tourists and fans and that is the number one thing folks ask about and he tells them, "Yes, I got it wrong, the were actually ICBM launch keys." He told me the reason he got it wrong was there is lots of information out on the internet about rocket keys none on ICBM Launch Keys.", they are ICBM launch keys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDMd1covGhA __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term Last edited by Crashaddict; 05-24-2012 at 12:32 AM. | | | 05-24-2012, 12:41 AM | #182 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Whoops, guess I should've clicked on the link within the link lol. | | | 05-24-2012, 12:41 AM | #183 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: Northern VA Posts: 132 | I hate that show.....Hardcore Pawn is a real pawn show | | | 05-24-2012, 01:51 AM | #184 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Milwaukee Posts: 100 | Vorshlag sells a "adjustable" Steering shaft. | | | 05-24-2012, 01:55 AM | #185 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Milwaukee Posts: 100 | and U joints for the shaft too! | | | 05-24-2012, 02:13 AM | #186 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by Del Rio I hate that show.....Hardcore Pawn is a real pawn show | even though they're both completely fake? If you take the old ends in they can re-crimp them. Ar a AC shop... Then they will fit exact. All in all, i hate my friends s52 swapped ti, it doesn't even feel fast. | There's something seriously wrong with your friend's car. I have an S50 engine in my car and it's a blast -- revs so fast in first gear that shift up to second is like right now, with a little chirp from the tires grabbing second. And 85 in 3rd follows real quick after that. And it's been reliable. | | | 06-11-2012, 02:41 AM | #193 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Wichita, KS Posts: 111 | On the other hand, I've had a few Mazdas in my past and loved the way the rotary wound up, especially a reworked 13b in one car. Mazda put a warning buzzer in the tach that was my shift indicator for getting it on. | | | 06-11-2012, 04:10 AM | #194 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: SoFla Posts: 482 | Quote: Originally Posted by KSKarl On the other hand, I've had a few Mazdas in my past and loved the way the rotary wound up, especially a reworked 13b in one car. The problem now is that major parts are unobtanium. Mazda stopped production of pretty much all the 12A parts and most of the 13B parts. At teh end of the day it cool technology normally aspirated, I never cared for the fragility of a race mazda turbo engine. FYI the gasket set with good orings are north of 600 bucks now. Mazda tricks is about the last source out there... I put 24 race weekends and a 8 hour enduro on a ITA build 12A... Then it puked an Apex and its rebuild time... Base refresh with the hope of no big parts in the 6000 dollar range... Redline was 9300 on the ITA build. NO major porting allowed... Just never ever run leaded race gas it will fry a rotary.... SDS is one of the easiest and most reliable stand alone systems I've ever seen on a Rotary... Cheers and GLWTHB,,, Looking forward to some driving reports.
