I was driving up this morning and saw a Ti with what I thougt was an e36 M3 looking spoiler on the back. Thought I remember someone here doing that but it took modification. Looked kinda... big. Anyone have pics? __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 09-21-2010, 01:06 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | I remember reading that the M3 sedan spoiler was a better match to the contour of the ti than the coupe version. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 09-21-2010, 01:29 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia Posts: 593 | From the front it looks alright. From the weird it looks a bit extreme. | | | 09-21-2010, 01:35 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | From the wierd? I have the factory M3 GT wing with LTW riser blocks and it fits perfectly (except where it overlaps the rear window and needs to be fitted). There's a pic in my gallery... attached is a pic from a show in NJ in '09. | | | 09-21-2010, 05:56 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri I remember reading that the M3 sedan spoiler was a better match to the contour of the ti than the coupe version. | yea I was thinking it was the M3 sedan too. just wondering how the sides fit because we don't have as much "deck" space as a coupe or sedan. I thought for sure someone with a red ti did it. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 09-21-2010, 06:09 PM | #8 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Does this mean you're planning on keeping the ti Phil? | | | 09-21-2010, 06:41 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Lol no. Old habits die hard! I have a 99 Passat as my dd with167k. I don't fuss about it and that's nice. There are so many good deals out there though. I may just take home a wayward e30 very or a 535is if my will is not strong. It's soooo easy to keep dreaming about modding Ti's though. - __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
