Default Back-fire

So today is a week since I had the Dinan stage 2 software upgrade done. I went to drive to work this morning an my car is running like ****, it is back firing in every gear and not accelerating properly. Do you think this is caused by the software upgrade going bad? I called the BMW dealer that did the instalation and they said I can drop it off today and they will try to fit it into their schedule. I'm a little upset about the situation.

Check for a vacuum leak between the MAF and the throttle body. Are you running 93 octane gas? I believe you need to run high octane gas with the Dinan chip.

Default MAF sensor backwards

That happened to me (backfiring) when I cleaned the sensor and installed it backwards. There's an arrow on the MAF sensor to show where the flow should go......Good Luck

Thanks for the helpful comments DustinT and weezer! The problem ended up being a few loose spark plug wires. Everything is all good for now.
