Default Speaker surrounds cracked & breaking

Anyone ever had their door panel speaker grill surrounds crack & break off ? On my right door, the plastic rings around the speaker grills are cracking. Its almost like what brake fluid does to plastics!

No, I haven't, but ti's are getting older. If there is much plastic left, treat it with Armor All. If not, you should be able to fabricate a nice looking replacement grill. Good luck, John

This is a super common problem on e36s. My m3 has this problem and my girls m as well. What you can do is buy some nice components speakers and use the tweeter pods to fix the problem. Polk audio tweeter are big enough and still look good.
