Default Difference between standard and Sport susp?

I've seen listings for struts and shocks for standard TIs and Sport TIs, what is the difference? Will standard strut and shock fit my Sport TI or?

I believe the sport suspension is lower and stiffer.

It's stiffer, but I don't think it's any lower. What I want to know is why are there different, unique P/N replacement struts available for each? What is the physical difference between the parts?

I remember hearing somewhere that the sport suspension shocks were actually the Boge "Turbo" model. The standard suspension was something else in the Boge line.

My GUESS is that the only difference is in the valving/firmess.

I may be wrong, but I don't think it's like Bilstein where the "Sports" are the same as the "Heavy Dutys" except that the Sports have a 1" shorter piston rod.
