Default Anyone had problems fitting the tone rings in a e30 diff swap?

A friend of mine did my diff swap for me a while ago, and he mentioned something about having trouble getting the abs rings in. Now that I am trying to sell it, I want to put them in so that the light turns off. I would just pull the bulb, but it wont pass emissions if there is a code.

Has anyone had this problem and if so, were you able to work it out?

I don't think it has ABS rings. I think you should have a screw in the rotor with a magnetic tip that passes the ABS wheel sensor. I could be wrong but the ABS ring is not used on our cars...

Remember I could be wrong on this ok... John S

The ABS rings on the E30 axles are a larger diameter than the stock ti rings. You have to shim out the rear ABS sensors so they clear the rings but still read correctly. There are threads that talk about it.

Really easy to do, just put a thin washer in between the sensor and trailing arm.
