There's so many flakes, lowballers and time wasters these days, it's sickening. I deal with it every single time I sell something. Doesn't matter what you're selling or how much you're asking, chances are you'll have to filter out the scumbags before your item sells. I've kicked a few people off of my property and flat out refused to conduct business with them. One thing that helps when selling a car, specify that you will not negotiate over the phone or simply say that your price is firm and you will not under any circumstance negotiate on price. That automatically steers away half of the lowballers and tire kickers. Stick to your guns man, you'll get your asking price. | | | 05-30-2012, 02:38 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | When listing stuff on CL just mark the price up 1.5 - 2x what you want for it, that way the lowballers will think they are getting a deal when they offer you the amount you actually want. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 05-30-2012, 03:35 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | That's why I give my unwanted items away. Makes people feel good for getting something for free...and it makes me feel good for not charging someone for an item I no longer need/want. Now on to your car. That is more than fair. I think you could do even better...$2,500.00 GLWS __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 05-30-2012, 03:43 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | I would buy that from you (if you were on the opposite coast...). Don't let the lowballers and flakes get to you... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion.
