Default WTB: Z3 ///M Rear Differential Cover

I have been contemplating ordering a Z3 ///M rear differential cover for quite some time now and have finally decided I want to. Please let me know if you see one for a good price or have one you are willing to let go.

It seems lately that people have been asking far too much for used ones which is also unfortunate. I can get a brand new one with bushing for $241 from ECS: http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Site...28335/ES56007/ , so a new one should be a little less than that

Thanks=)

For genuine parts I've found BMW of Morristown to have the best prices. They are www.bmw-oem-parts.com, Z3M diff cover is $193.40. I've ordered lots of parts from them, shipping is quick and reasonably priced, usually ~$10 for bigger orders.

I forget, is this for a medium case?

It's for my stock diff so I would believe it is a small case. The diff covers are the same size for either IIRC.

No, this cover will only work on a medium case diff.

I didn't seem to realize that. Stock is a small case. My diff did whine a hair so I may look into snagging another to refresh and swap out my old diff.

Ya, if I were to get a E28 medium case diff I was planning to use this cover. I'd already have a few if it fit small case diffs.

I would have loved to have a version of this cover for my small case diff when I was running it. I was always worried that it was cooking the fluid during track days but when I drained it after 4 track weekends the fluid still looked like new just with a healthy does of clutch dust added.

I might try and find one for my med case diff but with the extra fluid capacity already I don't think it's too necessary with M44 power level.

He did not have any. I am trying to find some local. I really only need to swap out the inner CV joints since the axles are the same length

All you have to swap is the flanges coming out of the diff. No need to swap CV joints.

I'm running e30 3.73 with stock ti axles.

Really? In all the pictures that I see the small case splines look way short.

Yeah, medium case diff, ti flanges, ti axles. There are other references to that setup if you search old threads.
