95 318ti Midpipe bolt up to a 97 318ti?

My buddy has a 97' 318ti and needs a new catalytic. I have one laying around (from a 95 318ti) and was wondering if it would bolt up to his car. I do know there is +1 o2 sensor (post cat) and the 318ti only has a pre-cat meaning it would need a post cat o2 bung welded in. Other than an extra bung welded it, would it bolt up?

Sounds like you already know the answer, either way your going to have to custom weld the job.

I would say the easiest thing is just to have the cat welded into his setup. It should be pretty cheap if you can find the right shop to do it.
