Default M52 motor to 1.8 tranny work?

I found a complete 96 328i M52 engine with an auto tranny. I do not want to use the auto if I swap the m52 in my 95 318ti. I need to know if the 5sp tranny in my 1.8 ti will bolt on to the m52 engine.

If using an auto M52 engine for a swap, can you the stock 318ti flywheel and clutch? In an ideal world, i'd like a lightweight M52/M3 flywheel, but to keep costs down...

the flywheel cost has me holding off getting the M52 setup, the clutch and flywheel kits are $500+

I stupidly sold an M20 flywheel, new LUK clutch and a starter for about $200 recently thinking I wasn't getting back into BMW's! AAAARRRGGHHH

But does the 4 cyl M44 flywheel/clutch fit on a 6 banger?

From my research yes it will, as long as you use the entire setup, flywheel and clutch set. It won't hold up as long with the extra power but it will work.
