The suspension is all stock. The roads in my town are very bad, so I need wheels that will perfectly fit. Can somebody give me the right size for 16" and 17" alloys that will fit. (ET, J, Style, etc...) I need some tyres as well, what size do I have to buy? Thank you. | | | 09-16-2013, 12:13 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 09-16-2013, 12:29 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2013 Location: Bulgaria, Sofia Posts: 5 | Thanks for the reply but there is something wrong with this site. For example style 32 17" et47 7.5j. They say that it will fit in the first raw, but on the third, they say that it will only fit on back tires. | | | 09-16-2013, 12:39 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | Ok, here's what you want to look for when purchasing wheels for our cars. they come stock with an offset of 38-42. If you want to put a regular e36 BMW wheel on your car you should be fine with any style. Just try to keep the offset above 30 (et30) and you'll be fine. There are a lot of threads/post concerning tire size. I would think you will find a set of wheels in the 7.5 or 8.0 range. With this said...a set of 225-45-17 tires will be perfect. that's what I have on my Racing Dynamics. If you go with a low offset...say a set of style 19's with an et20...you will need to roll the rear fenders and get a smaller tire. A 215-40-17 would be the way to go. If you get a set of 16" wheels...use the search button...because I have no clue. __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 09-16-2013, 12:44 AM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2013 Location: Bulgaria, Sofia Posts: 5 | Thanks again. | | | 09-16-2013, 01:58 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | My pleasure. I'm sure there are others that could add to this topic from experience. My take on this is only from memory and what I have installed on my own cars. __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 09-16-2013, 02:18 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: San antonio, tx Posts: 135 | you can also check out the "tire rack" website.... www.tirerack.com. it has a wheel/tire calculator to show the various sizes that will fit on the car. | | | 09-22-2013, 02:06 PM | #8 | Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: greenville south carolina Posts: 35 | When my e36 M3 sedan but the dust I swapped my DSII's onto the ti. The wheel size is 17" but I out brand new eagle gt tires on, had a staggered setup of 245 45 17 for the back 235 in the front and that looks amazing in my opinion. Unfortunately someone offered me a good price on the set and they had to go but figment was perfect. Ill ad some pics. ~1997 mustang cobra ~1997 BMW M3 sedan -1996 BMW 318ti California roof -2005 pontiac vibe | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
