Thanks | My headlights are Djauto ellipsoids with DDE lightning plus (the angel eyes) & x-tec 6000K HIDs all purchased from www.umnitza.com. As Tyler mentioned, go for the German oem ZKW ellipsoid headlights and the Predator Chromium angel eyes. My Djauto headlights are just plain bad quality, they had massive moisture problems before i sealed them up with silicone, so i would suggest the ZKWs. The Predator Chromiums are just an updated version of my DDE lightning plus angel eyes; if i remember correctly they are thicker, a bit brighter and look more like the OEM Bmw angel eyes in regards to their shape/fit/finish. There are TONS of bad quality lightning kits out there for our Bmw’s, so my suggestion to you would be to post up any kit that you may be thinking of buying and us friendly folks up here at 318ti.org can let you know whether the product is worthy of gracing your Bmw! __________________ | | | 12-12-2005, 10:48 PM | #19 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: wisconsin Posts: 27 | Thanks for the info! The angel eyes that come with these models cannot be compared to the CCFL (Cold cathode florescent lighting) angel eyes sold by umnitza. These specific ones utilize a small 5-watt wedge bulb attached to the fiber-optic light ring as their source of illumination. The result is that they are only visible at night and only at relatively close distance and they will be completely drowned out by HIDs if you plan on installing them. Nevertheless, if you don’t want to shell out the $$$ for ZKW's, the "Depo Projector 36" ellipsoids are the best quality Asian-made headlights available at the moment. If you don’t mind going with the Depo's but just want better pre-installed angel eyes, check out these : http://www.umnitza.com/product_info....roducts_id=259 Depo Projector 36 with Predator DDE's pre-installed. __________________ | | | 12-13-2005, 03:08 PM | #21 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: wisconsin Posts: 27 | Headlights Thank you very much for the information! | | | 12-14-2005, 04:26 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Northern New Jersey Posts: 395 | Sweet Why wasn't this submitted into the calendar!!!??? | | | 12-14-2005, 06:53 PM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Vancouver, B.C.
