Do you already have the engine? By when do you think you'll have this sucker running?

Viper is doing the same thing, only hes stroking the engine

Keep us posted of coarse.

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

I dont hav the engine yet, still looking into the possible sources. I wont be able to buy a parts car due to the fact by the end of the day, ill have 3 cars, 2 of which are stuff in my moms garage, and then my crx daily beater. I want to get rid of the jetta, but it can totally be fixed and resold but i dont have the time, or will power to work on it in its current state. Im able to get everything i need for the swap from these guys down in alabama for about 2k shipped with 88k on it to a local shop, then theres another source where i can get it all for 1500 shipped minus the accessories with 61k on it. Hopefully ill find th best deal in the end. I plan to have it running by september/october and cruising around without a problem.

Bluebimma, there is a place here in SoCal that sell engines. We picked up a 95' 525 M50 engine for $1,000.00 and the engine is running strong!!! Let me know and I will get you thei phone number, they only specialize in BMWs.

Id like to hope so. If i dont like my 2.8, im blamin you!!!
I love my 328 compact too! the m50 intake manifold & bbtb are very worth while upgrades. It made a very noticeable improvement. You can see how restrictive the m52 manifold is here > http://328compact.co.uk/index.php?section=25

Its quite alright. I didnt know the exhaust was in such a horrible condition until i removed it. Maybe someone wants it to fix, or ill just trash it when i send the jetta to the junker.

I thought the supersprint required an adapter pipe, does your have one?
http://www.bmpdesign.com/product-exe...earch_model/52

I might be interested in it if you plan on just tossing the whole shabang. Even though an exhaust is far in my future :/

Hell if i know, i just took the whole exhaust from the car.lol. I can check for you though. I didnt purchase the exhaust, the PO did, so i dont know too much about it except that the muffler is a bit on the rusty/degraded side.

ATF, the Supersprint that he has is the NLA model that was specifically for the ti. The one BMP now carries is a universal for the ti and Z3 1.9, differing only in which adapter pipe is used.
