I was checking the oil and noticed a something dangling near the AC pulleys. Somehow I had lost the bolt that attaches to the front of the AC compressor clutch from the AC compressor itself. It's a 10mm bolt but I don't know the length so I can replace, don't think I lost anything else. Contacted the dealer and was told that the bolt comes with the compressor and is not sold individually. To add insult to injury, the rep could not tell me what the size of the bolt was. I contacted BimmerZone.com and Zygmunt/Bimmerparts.com and they were unable to help me. I've posted on some other sites, but no luck as of yet. Hopefully someone with a swapped ti can tell me what the size of bolt is. According to Pelican Parts, the M3 shares the same compressor with the other the 6cyl e36s. Hoping to save myself some time combing through the junkyards or buying a compressor I don't need (at the moment). | | | 03-31-2009, 05:20 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | its not listed in etk as being there, thats why they couldnt tell you, best bet is either pull one of the others out and match it up or wait to see if anyone else knows before hitting a junkyard. (if you do junkyard it bring a 10 and 13 socket or wrench and you could probly pocket just a bolt and tell them you didnt see what you needed.) __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
