 Having problem with power and starting
HI Guys,
I'm sitting with a problem with my BMW 318ti. I have a problem with poor power and now starting.
Before i had a problem whereby the car struggles to start and the performance was bad.
I had to turn the ignition and wait a few sec's before starting the car.
I checked the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter and both seems to be working fine.
Checked the spark plugs and all of them are firing. I changed them as well.
Checked the Injectors and they are firing as per normal.
Check the MAF and cleaned it, all good.
Cleaned off the sensors(exhaust inlet and camshaft sensors).
What i noticed is that the Fuel Pump only pumps when i try starting the car, isnt the pump supposed to pump before i start, when the ket is in position 2?
What else can stop the car from starting?
Before the car would start but performance was bad and the power only really kicked in at 3000rpm......car was sluggish....and used allot of petrol.
What else can i check? |
