If you can get the parts before the cops find it your golden though. I would not pay this guy anything but cash if I were you. | | | 05-13-2010, 03:20 PM | #6 | Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Florida - Tampa Posts: 92 | Think about it.... Gulfport - as in Mississippi....the place got trashed by Hurricane Katrina. (Folks tend to associate Katrina with N.O. however the Biloxi/ Gulfport region was decimated). He may be in the hills, however that region was trashed by tornadoes - generated by the hurricane. Either way - its going to be a problem. Cheers. | | | 05-13-2010, 04:16 PM | #7 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | I'd ask him to give you the VIN so that you can "find out what options it came with." Then have the police run the VIN to find out if it's stolen, etc. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! For $900, I'd be over there tomorrow giving him a $100 deposit, getting the vin, THEN having the cops run it. Worst case its stolen and I'm out $100. Best case I get parts-z3 for $900 __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. S50 cams+pistons, e36 M3 front brakes. H&R race springs F+R. What about a "salvage" title? __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! I don't know why I'm looking at a flood-damaged car in Mississippi when there will be hundred's, if not thousands, of flood-damaged cars available here soon. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! I'm in Nashville, TN... we had a "thousand-year flood" here last week, but I doubt you heard about it as the major news networks were too busy covering the oil spill and the failed car-bombing attempt in NYC. So, I expect that the parts car market here will soon be "flooded" with flood-damaged cars. __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH!
