Default 98 318ti Mtech California top

Sold!.........sold!

Putting out a feeler to see if there is interest in this car.first of all this

is the cleanest 318ti I've ever seen constantly getting compliments on it.This is my weekend / autox car.whatever it needed I gave it and then some.I have owned it for over 2 years~135,000 on the clock. Driveline is solid, car shifts smoothly and corners very nicely. A good,Solid driver with a documented maintenance history.

Background: The previous owner and myself who did a excellent job baselining the car, which I am taking the liberty of posting as it contains a good and accurate rundown.

Highlights: Power California top with factory m-tech package Shipped from Sacramento California in 6-3-05 So it wasn't a Midwest car always

Basically rust free - one tiny spot on drivers side rear wheel arch Three owner car, original owner's maintenance log since new Hellrot paint in excellent shape.

Medium case LSD diff with 3.73 gears + new bushing

Valve cover gaskets replaced

Stock springs with 6 month old Koni sport adjustable
All suspension bushings replaced 6months ago.

Rare 16"bbs rk wheels with hankook Ventus rs-3.Tires plenty of life left in them

15"wheels with snow tires also stock 16" wheels included

Fresh transmission and differential fluids

New battery 2014 Thermostat, upper/lower radiator hoses and belts in 2013 Power steering reservoir and hoses replaced in 2009

Car received regular (on average every two years) coolant changes per original owner's maintenance log

What the car will need: Brake pad sensor light is on due to severed brake sensor wire in the front Usual BMW headliner
Ax recharge

18 year old car with minimal wear and tear Pm if interested. Thanks Kirk aka skimmer
Price 5500

I feel like I sold a fare amount of stuff on here and my prices are more than fare, I just don't know if this is a realistic price for these cars anymore,So please if anybody thinks this is priced high or has any questions about it please let me know.

Also my reason for letting this go is that simply wanna run competitively in Hs class at autox so wanting to buy a fiesta st.

I don't feel it's too far off!
Clean ti's are really hard to find in this neck of the woods.

Thanks and yes they are very hard to find clean here as it took me a year of searching.Problem is with selling these cars is the regular e36 guy don't seem to like the hatchbacks(couldn't tell you why because I like all e36)and there is tons of junk ones for sale cheap around here.

So anyone looking for a really good deal talk to me.

If this wasn't a Cali top I would be giving you an offer, but I would be driving it year round and don't want the Cali top in the winter.

I also saw this car in person at the fall autocross at Road America about 4 months ago. I was in the red NA Miata with the hardtop. This TI is a super sharp car!

Pricing is similar to what I paid for my 98 Msport Cali. Kentucky, then California car, very well maintained, No rust, Supersprint, Billy sports, H&R sports, Dinan flashed, Contours, CD-43, heated seats, Cruise Control and OBC. My top was broken but easily fixed.

I forget but it was either $4800 or $5000.

No regrets, it was nice to pick up a turnkey TI I didn't have to work on.

Hope this helps. GLWTS!

Thanks! It does help especially from you as I know you been playing with these cars for a long time. Some time this week I'm dropping my ti off at my favorite import shop for a oil change, brake sensor replacement and a compression test just to make sure it's all good.

Beautiful car. I'm jealous of your wind deflector.

For the record I drive my Cali top during the winter here in Cincinnati. I just make sure to garage it while snow is falling.

Update
Car is still and my local import place.
Mechanic gave it a oil change, new plugs.Ac recharge and also a compression test.
Said it was good,I'll post the numbers when I hear what they are.

Also thinking about pulling the Koni's off and putting stock struts and shocks.
And that would effectively bring the price down to 4800.

Really looking to get in to a fiesta st soon.

I would be interested in the LSD if you sell it. I might be picking up a M Sport TI in the coming weeks and it has the stock rear end.

Skimmer, with all do respect, but I don't think you are doing yourself a favor by pulling parts off the car. Those wheels, suspension and rear diff is what makes this car an atractive example, among other things of course. I 've been watching Ti market for some time now and have been wanting one for just as long (I have your Craigslist post saved to my favorites (-; ). I think you just need to be patient and wait for the right time and the right person. Spring is right around the corner, tax refunds start to be deposited (mine is coming soon). Just a thought.
