Got a few more pictures of the progress as im starting to loose track of things now.
I think that was the egr blank at the exhaust end

So pictures of the swirl flap removal and blanks fitted

Fuel filter/cooler mount fabrication, wanted to keep the look as close to oem as possible

Very cool!

Question about the M57 though, I don't know much about it so I looked it up on wiki - whats up with there being a 54hp 218hp --> 272hp (turbo?) difference between the 2002 and 2003 year m57's??

sorry for late reply and not being on the forum for some time as I've been flat out with work and the car has been in storage as have been running low on space for my cars/projects.
Anyway the difference between the two engines are the 272hp version is 3L where as the earlier ones are 2.9L and the 272hp has two turbos as fitted to the 335d & 535d. i did want to use that engine but after nearly buying one i got the measurements and there's not enough room to fit the turbos between the engine and chassis rail.
