The site has been restored to June 30th, 3:00PM ET. I am VERY sorry for the inconvenience and the two days of lost messages. Wednesday a UPS went out at the datacenter. When the site was restored the forum ran for a bit then crashed. I rebuilt multiple tables and the forum was up again only to find many forums missing. There are daily backups of the database. Turns out the software I used was not saving the entire file. I had the false sense of security that I was doing the right thing. After my host and myself trying over and over to load the most current database, and working backwards, it was clear that the backup was no good. The only solution was to roll back to June 30. Again, I am very sorry. In the 4 years with my host, this is the first major failure. Anyone who contributed as a donor, I will add you back to the donor list. And again, I was sick over it. Thanks Briansol for offering your assistance. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-03-2009, 01:11 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: College Park, MD Posts: 152 | You're awesome! I've only been here a short while but it's fantastic that you go to all this trouble of not only making sure we have a place to go but maintaining it. Thanks! | | | 07-03-2009, 01:19 PM | #3 | Z3 Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Usa Posts: 660 | Appreciate the hard work.... You made me buy a m3 just so I can join the m3 forum! How the hell is the dealer gonna let me turn this shet back? Haha, you got me pretty worried. Most of us thought it was a donation thing. And don't worry to much. You didn't miss anything :wink Thanks for bringing it back online. __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36.
