My take on Rob shooting paintballs in the clip is two fold...

One, it is just crazy/cool to have the car drift around a person...
Two, it probably was too blah to just have someone stand there, so they had him interact with the car, via paintballs...

All in all, a very fun vid....

You guys need to know that "DRIFTING" is done with REAR wheel drive cars...
AWD cars "POWERSLIDE", and it is what this guy was doing...
The Other thing is that even though it all looks extremely clean and continuous, all the shots are taken over time, sometimes even within days, the art is to edit it to look seamless... non-the less it was quite a fun video to watch and nice trick driving (with lots and lots of practice) by the dude!...

True- right after the car is shot with paintballs it is magically clean 2 sec later.

Oh, I noticed it by when it was daylight when it starts. Then when it gets to the end, it's already near sundown. Same thing with his earlier vids.

And you need to know that "DRIFTING" is the art of bringing your car sideways while maintaining control of your car whether it's done with an RWD, AWD, or FWD...
"POWERSIDE" is the same thing as drifting but was used before the term drift was coined

On a side note, damn you Pauly, I was thinking about posting this video but you beat me to it. I should have posted it the minute it came out

Then direct me to a video of a FWD vehicle "Drifting" sir!...
Any "drifting" vehicles that were at one point AWD or FWD have been converted to RWD for the ACT of DRIFTING.
If I am wrong sir then correct me with PROOF, not words, cause I have yet to see any "drifting competitions with AWD or FWD cars in it...

Powersliding is just flicking the tail of the car out for a second or two. Drifting happens on the curve, and is still carried out onto the straight away for slightly longer.

And only RWD can do drifts. AWD and RWD can do powerslides.

windshield wipers? paintball paint isn't very sticky and it only really got on the windshield, I'm probably wrong though

I posted it as soon as I saw it, I'm always late with stuff like this so it feels good to be the first to post it for once

LMFAO!!!...
Seriously dude!..... That really doesn't look much like anything except what it is "pulling the e-brake". I'm sure that right there was a freaking joke or some kind of "test/prank"...
Thank you for posting the vid though... good for a laugh

For an AWD vehicle to be able to "powerslide" it needs to have lots and lots of HP, plus it needs not so sticky tires to let loose...
As you can see in the Vid the FWD car had the rears locked while PULLING through the corner... Say what you want or think drifting is, but if your car can't spin the rears, and burn-em up while going through a corner, then it isn't "drifting". The Art is "controlling" a RWD vehicle, going sideways (amidst a drift), through a series of corners... You are judged by Speed, Angle of Attack, and How much Smoke you create while burning the tires up... Why do you think JDM fans seek out those OLD Sprinter Trueno's and Silvias (240sx) to make a drift car?... RWD my friends... NOUGH SAID... Time to move on.

FWD is ass sliding, not drifting. That must have been a pretty built civic though to be able to carry the car through turns while having the rear wheels locked up.

But of course, Ken Block uses his e-brake whenever his awesomeness tells him to.

Really dude. You're the one coming in here with your big cocky ego telling us we need to know what drifting is and what powersiding is like we're retarded.. A drift is a drift whether its from a rwd, awd, or fwd and that guy with his civic actually did clean and smooth drifts for a fwd. Most people are sloppy with fwd and it's hard to accelerate out of a drift with one. Now if you want to discuss what is better for drifting, yeah rwd for sure is best for drifting, no doubt about that. And yeah, awd cars need more power to drift cause awd vehicles were built to have more traction by distributing power to all four wheels. Drifting kind of defeats the purpose of having awd but it's still drifting non the less.
