Default FS: 1996 318ti Sport w/ 5 Speed

I am selling my 318ti Sport. It has been my daily driver since I bought it in March 2006 and has averaged 28-30mpg. It is in good condition, with a new headliner, A-pillar covers, and sunroof control panel in the interior. I just got the hood and bumpers professionally stripped and painted, so the exterior is also looking good. In the last 6 months, I have replaced the thermostat and coolant (BMW fluid), ECV hoses at the rear of the engine, brake rotor, pads, fluid and replaced the lines with braided steel lines. I also put in a factory mesh grill and new under panel in the front bumper.

The driver's seat has a tear in the right bolster and should be recovered and the fog lights were broken from rock hits so I took them out.

The car has 132,500 miles and I would not hesitate to take it cross country as it has always been reliable for me. Also, it is completely stock except the radio and braided steel brake lines. I have added some pictures below (pictures taken before the under panel was installed). Call me if interested. I am in the Northern Va area. Steve (703) 405-3500.

Sorry, I forgot to put the price. I am asking $6,000 for the car.

Aww nice. It's standard also. Very beautiful! Hope it goes to a good owner.

I've been getting a few requests for more pictures so I'm adding a few of other areas of the car. Also, the AC works well. I forgot to mention that the windshield wiper washers never squirted since I bought the car. I think it needs a new squirter motor, but I never really missed it so I never got around to fixing it.

Also, the 2 books in the rear hatch picture go with the car.

Is there some body damage to the hatch, or is that a weird reflection?

Yes, I noticed it about 3-4 weeks ago. My next door neighbor's kid said he saw some kids riding their bikes and goofing around. One of them lost control and ended up hitting my hatch with his bike helmeted head. Unfortunately, he didn't know who the kid was. I was pretty sure it wasn't my next door neighbor's kid that was telling me this because he doesn't have a bike helmet (caring parents). I showed it to a body guy and he said it could be removed by a paintless dent remover pretty easily. It didn't crack the paint, but these are the type of things that happen when you decide to sell your car.

Thanks for the compliments. It has been a great car for me and I hate to see it go, but I can't justify 4 cars and this one has lost its purpose since I was able to pick up a Jetta TDI for cheap as a daily driver. I figure I won't mind running that into the ground and I plan to do a veggie conversion after I sell this car. If I could sell my highly modified turbo 535is, I'd probably keep the ti, since I am already regretting selling it.

Bill,

I just emailed you.

For those interested, I purchased stock control arm bushings for the car today, since the ones on the car are cracked and would need replacement for any state that has a thorough inspection process. The current ones shimmy a bit on braking above 50mph.
