has anyone had trouble while tryin' to remove their chip, did you have to use some force or what? i didn't put to much effort into it because i didn't want to break anything

I do hope you are talking about a M42 engine.
Aren't they socketed?

yea it's an M42 engine and i got another question. i did get the old chip out, just bein' curious and now when i put it all back in my car it won't start. it will turn over but won't start. what could be the problem? could it be the EWS II?

Did you put it in correctly? Did you bend any pins?
I don't know what the DME looks like but I have seen people gouge traces when removing chips.
I don't think the EWS would have anything to do with the chip.

yea i put it in correctly and i didn't bend any of the pins and i dind't gouge anything when i removed it. i'm honestly clueless on what could be wrong. i didn't change anything or mess with anything else but thanks for the info
