Default Depo, HID, Angel Eyes wiring questions

Okay, got my box from DDM Tuning today with my lights, but I won't get my car back until Monday or more than likely Tuesday morning (dammit, why did I have to get a day job!!!). That gives me time to figure out how to wire everything up, with help from you guys here.

I've got three wiring bits. One has four wires, circular "boot" on one end and two headlight plugs on the other. I know where this goes, and the loose grey wire is for the angel eyes and to tap into my corner light (grey wire as well, if I remember reading right). Next bit is the HID ballast/ignitor. It's got two small plugs that go to the HID bulb, and a headlight connector on the other plug for power. Last bit has a plug connector on one end, and two wires with a spade-type connector on the other end (I think). Obviously plugs into the HID ballast/ignitor, but where do I connect the two wires too? I'm guessing one is a ground and the other goes to a power source.

I can take pictures in the morning if it would help.

They have a installation diagram on their website:
http://www.ddmlights.com/diandinin.html
I ordered a kit from them the other day, so I'll help you when I do my install on Monday or Tuesday as well.

Already seen that, and it's not helpful. The DDE install instructions pretty much tell you how to put the angel eyes into the headlights and the Ellipsoid instructions simply refers to the four wires that hook up to the circular plug between the two lights. Pretty much have the plug connections worked out, just not sure where to hook the two wires for the ballast/invertor power to.

there's also a diagram on the understeer website. just pay attention to the picture on there. look at how the nicks are. here's a picture:

notice how the shape of the socket looks like. compare it with your headlights you have. you may have to turn the headlight itself, like i did, to match it. line up the "knobs" or "indentions". i hope this helps you out.
oh, on understeer it should tell you what each wire is colored as for what its used for. ie: white for halo rings, red for high beams, brown for ground. it may be different for each individual ones. i had a green and yellow one and i had to figure out what they were for on other diagrams. well in anyway. good luck. hope this helps you out.

Good write-up over on Understeer. So it sounds like I have an extra cable. Think I'll go shoot some pics now just for reference.

So did you not pay the 10$ installation fee? I did so I'm hopeing I won't have to fiddle with all this stuff.

I didn't order the Angel Eyes nor did I pay the $10 install fee. So it looks like I just saved myself about $65 or so.

Now for pics.

Wiring (the circled #2 is the one I'm not sure of):

Inside High-beam cover:

Inside Low-beam cover:

Wiring label:

The wiring label is nice and appears to be correct when compared to the picture Marv posted. I was going to ask about the yellow wire inside the low-beam cover, but I see that would have plugged into the low-beam bulb if I hadn't gone HID.

I notice a socket for a city light. Should I want to put one in later, would I simply splice that into the angel eyes and ground wires? So from what I can tell with the wiring, #1 plugs into the back of the headlight, the high-beam plug on my harness and the grey gets spliced into the corner light using the little red piece. Number 3 plugs into the HID bulbs and the low-beam connector on my harness. Still can't figure out what #2 is for. Do I plug that into the low-beam connector on #1 and somewhere else, or are they not needed?

Front of headlights:

Back of headlights:

Oh yeah, one other question. The black power box for the angel eyes (on the right side in the "inside high-beam cover" pic) has a sticky pad on the back. Should I use that to stick it permanently inside the housing somewhere (where?) or just let it stay loose in there?

Throw cable 2 away.

Plug the gray connector from your harness (low beam) into the igniters. Plug the igniters into your HIDs. Plug black connector from your harness (high beam) into the black plug on cable #1. On cable #1, Black is high beam, Grey is low beam I just taped off the grey plug on cable #1. As for the stupid circular plug, I tried following the instructions from different sources and just scrapped it. I wired it up with trial and error using a multimeter. Heck, that's why its color coded right? The last thing I was going to do was blow my fuses/HIDs...

Borg...Did you get it all wired up? If you could take a pic of it all set up that would be swell. I got my headlights today and I could use a couple good pictures to get me going.

Thanks

Not wired up yet as I don't have the car back from the body shop yet. Just got off the phone with them and they're just finishing up the paint work. Said they'd be done on Monday or Tuesday at the latest, so I won't see the car until Tuesday or Wednesday. I can take pics of how the wiring should hook up though.

As for the little red 00piece, it's used to splice the angel eyes into the corner lights. the wire from the angel eyes goes in one end (that accepts two wires) and one of the wires for the corner light goes the the rest and the metal splices into it.

K, I paid for them to install the angel eyes so I'm not sure which wire is what.

Are there any write ups for this installation that actually explain how to wire it up. The only ones I've seen show you how to wire up the inside of the headlight...And that is already done for me.

Also, which wire from the corner light do I splice...blue, brown or white?

The corner light i believe is white/violet on one side and white/green/yellow on the the other? Double check this.

As for the red things with the metal hanging out, those are crimp wire splicers. Wire the gray wire from the four wire PNP harness to your corner lights.

I also notice that they cut the wires to the city lights, kind of ****ty, but then again, you have angel eyes.

So I still am not sure which color of wire to splice to. And by splice, does that meen CUT the connection from the signal light and attach it to the grey wire? Or does it meen connect it to the existing connection by taking the plastic wire cover off a small section of the wire?
