I would not want to go to VT.

I think i hear of a shooting at VT, every year? every other year?

Either way, i am pretty sure it is higher then normal.

You have to feel bad for the kids there. they must be scared since it happened before. they might have lost friends, and honestly, the school is getting a bad name (now that it happened more then 1 time)

I live in Roanoke VA which is bout 30 min from Tech and spend a lot of time with friends and family at Tech. This is only the second time something like this has happened so please dont judge the school. They cant control crazy arse people. The kid that killed the cop is actually a student at Radford University down the road from Tech. He stole an SUV the day before and drove it to Tech. Officer Crouse was actully sitting in his car when Ross Ashley just walked up and shot him then ran and killed himself. No one knows why he did what he did.

The events at Tech are not any higher than anywhere else and in fact, are lower due to its not being in the middle of some major city, geographic location, etc. The only reason such a big deal is being made right now is because of the killings that happened by Cho in April 2007 and thats realy the only reason anyone is hearing about this. If Cho had only killed one person that day and then this happening, you would only hear about it in passing as another statistic. Under stand that I am not trying to down play the gravity of the incident. I just hate to see negative mind set due to media hype. Please do not think bad of VT or the surrounding area for this tragedy.
